“Republican” “deep red” Florida still has so-called “gun free” zones. Florida has such a conservative base and demand for removal of antiquated, draconian gun laws that protect criminals and ruin society with helplessness and dependence on government. Yet even under Governor Ron DeSantis’s leadership, things aren’t changing.
This isn’t even the first time the mandated-by-law “gun free” Florida State University has had a senseless shooting of disarmed victims. KeepAndBear.org is calling upon Governor DeSantis to step up and fix gun laws or shut up. As the chief executive officer of the entire state, he has authority to fix most of the gun issues in the state by ensuring “gun control” laws are not enforced. He can also call upon the legislature to repeal them and put them in compliance with the 2nd Amendment.
Florida still has: 1) no open carry 2) no rifle carry (unless you carry a fishing pole) 3) many “gun free” zones 4) harassment and arrests of gun owners and blind men with walking sticks for no reason. How about charging local officials with civil rights violations if they enforce unconstitutional state laws?! Will the governor act or keep giving the 2nd Amendment lip service? We don’t want the latter anymore.
