Colorado socialists have been fighting hard to disarm the People. “Power to the people!” as often chanted by the communist/socialists really means disarming the people and arming the state. What could go wrong? “It could never happen here” is the mantra of the willfully ignorant. Ask Mao’s China, the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, North Korea, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Rwanda, etc, etc, etc.
Keep in mind the genocide/democide figures below have been divided by 1000. Add 000 to the end of all the numbers and you see the true horror in numbers of the killing of unarmed or under-armed people just in the 20th century alone.

Democracy is also ensuring the power stays decentralized amongst the people at large. Enter Colorado’s open carry activists – carrying both rifles and pistols in public at gatherings/demonstrations/protests/charity events. It seems Colorado has a patriot community that’s not afraid to stand up to the “Disarm us now! We hate responsibility!” crowd. Open carry events like this educate the public, recondition the public away from the negative associations of guns, encourage gun owners to exercise their rights and responsibility, and pave the way for the true purpose of the 2nd Amendment. That true purpose is ensuring individual and collective self-defense and self-determination (freedom) through securing the right to own (keep) and carry (bear) arms and embracing the duty and responsibility of being a citizen militia.
